Use one calculation basis

This system uses mass percentages. Every row must refer to the same final product; do not add percentages that already total 100% for the liquid to a separate propellant percentage.

A calculation example

For calculation only: if the final product is 70% liquid and 30% propellant, an ingredient making up 20% of the liquid is 14% of the final product (70% × 20%). This is not a formulation recommendation; use the actual product information.

Names and CAS numbers

A CAS number helps identify an ingredient; do not use an incorrect number to fill a gap. If the raw material is itself a mixture, keep an identifiable name, explain the situation and provide supplier information.

Identify the propellants

Propellants are part of the final composition. Enter their actual ingredients and mark them as propellants. Describe multiple propellants separately rather than inferring them from a trade name.

Check totals and supporting information

Use the existing composition-total check and keep sufficient precision. Supplier SDSs and test information help review the request, but do not replace confirmation of the actual formulation.

Ask a specific question when unsure

Explain whether the uncertainty is about the calculation basis, a CAS number or supplier information. Submit the full formulation through the formal request, not the public enquiry box.
